What is POTS?
POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system. It is characterized by an increase in heart rate of more than 30 beats per minute upon standing. Symptoms are widely varied, but can include palpitations, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, fainting, sweating, etc. An estimated 1 million Americans suffer from POTS, primarily young women. Teens rate of of getting POTS is 1 in 100. The cause of POTS is still not understood and there is no known cure.
We will be doing a raffle drawing on October 21st. Each $1 donation to Crowd Rise’s Haunt for Hope for Dysautonomia International will enter you into a drawing!
This Awareness party on Oct. 21st will benefit Dysautonomia International an organization devoted to funding POTS and Dysautonomia research.
