About the Musicians:
Jenny Parrott – Jenny Parrot has been singing to herself since she was 4 and writing songs for half her life. She moved to Austin in 2006 and formed and fronted western swing pop trio Shotgun Party. Parrott then co-fronted the vocal harmony based folk-rock band Loves It, and continued to tour and put out albums along the way.
Wanda Wesolowski – Wanda Wesolowski writes confessional songs. She’s 22 and based out of the Huntsville area.
Alex Hendrix – Alex Hendrix’s songwriting interest began with her father printing out lyrics to folk classics like American Pie, The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald and The Boxer. He’d go line by line and explain the context, the history, and the subtle genius in the lyrics. Throughout her childhood she wrote poems and lyrics that she kept in spiral notebooks (and occasionally uploaded to blog sites embarrassingly enough) until finally picking up a guitar at 17.
Lana White – American Singer-Songwriter with a soulful Indie sound with intoxicating harmonies. Lana has had FM radio play in the US and across the globe. She has been featured in multiple music magazines and blogs.
Cristina Lynn -Cristina Lynn began her songwriting journey after her husband, Kevin, dared her and said, “just write something & use your voice to tell the story.” She found her voice very early in life while singing acapella in the church pew sitting alongside her family. Where singing was very familiar, song writing was not. In 2004, Cristina began pouring her heart & soul into her lyrics and in 2006 she started teaching herself to play rhythm guitar.
Victoria Jones – Singer/Songwriter Victoria Jones was born in Huntsville, Alabama. Inspired by people and the world around her, Victoria began singing and songwriting at the age of fifteen. Her soulful voice and musicality is a blend of neo-soul, pop, and R&B. With musical inspirations ranging from Nina Simone and Alicia Keys, to various singer/songwriters from the UK, Victoria seeks to write music that speaks to everyday life and situations.
